Okay, that title sparked your interest, I'm sure! Back in the Fall, Teen picked up a Steve Irwin (The Crocodile Hunter) action figure at the thrift shop. Needless to say, he's getting around the house - we're finding him in all different places, poses, and holidays! So we're keeping a little photo folder called "Around the House with Steve Irwin"! Yesterday, Teen put him on the shelf over my computer with a reminder note about the SAT's. Crickey! We'd better get moving on those!
Now we come to the Needles part. Mister had these vintage sewing needle cases tucked away and gave them to me last year. They're beautiful . . . and red!
Look how, on this package, it lists the different kinds of needles and their uses. I like the one called "Betweens"!
Oh, by the way, next Wednesday is St. Patrick's Day - I wonder if we can come up with some Irish red for Rednesday!
Crickey, that Steve Irwin doll gets around, and I bet you discover him in all kinds of weird places!

really like the red needle packs, goodness they are vintage. I remember having an old needle package I found in my Mom's sewing machine, "junk" drawer. Wonder what I ever did with it?...hummm.

I love vintage sewing items and I look for them at estate sales because i like to display them on Hubby's grandmother's antique Singer sewing machine that is in my craft/Sewing room. I enjoyed seeing these and I got a chuckle out of the "betweens".

ReplyDeleteI just wanted to stop by and let you know, I use a tape runner for scrapbooking...it works perfect, any kind of glue makes it yuky! The paper doesn't like "wet". I ggot my taperunner at Joann's but you can get them at Wal-Mart too and they are cheaper and they carry the refills! Have a good Thursday! :)
