A Dept. 56 Christmas village covered bridge, an Uncle Sam figurine (with deranged eyes), two frogs on a stone (because Teen wanted me to put it in the garden) . . .

The big score was with these vintage Christmas ornaments, the first two sets are West Germany and the little houses are Japan ~

And this garden diary ~

At the school yard sale that I helped out with on Friday I let Jade pick out some toys, got a paperback of Valley of Vision - A Collection of Puritan Prayers for Mister, and I got a vintage box of checkers and two Wade figures still in the packaging ~

Pretty good (cheap) weekend, if you ask me!
Wow very cool. I love the Christmas ornaments, but my fav are the Wade figures!!
ReplyDeletelooks like you had fun scavenging! I'll be showing my new home starting next week. I've been scared to share and Hubby says I gotta get over there and embrace our future. lol
ReplyDeleteI love that old Checkers box and the ornaments, but my faves are the Wade figures! I wish they still put those in the Red Rose tea boxes. I discovered Red Rose tea and those figures about 4 months before they stopped doing it altogether. So frustrating!
ReplyDeleteI sent you an e-mail. Thanks Sue!
I vote for the checkers!!!! They are my favorite.
ReplyDeleteIt's never too early to hit the garage sales looking for holiday grub.
ReplyDeleteLove the miniature houses.
ReplyDeleteWhat a haul! Those are great finds.
ReplyDeleteWonderful vintage ornaments! And the checkers are great too.
ReplyDeleteI just noticed that primroses are your fave flower - me too! Here in the frozen north I only grow 6 or six species, but I'm working on more!!
