Greetings to all of you in VTT land!
Today, I'm showing you my vintage garden tools.
The bug spray can says SMITH on it, and the glass is a nice dark amber.
This red-handled claw is my favorite tool. I repaint it every year because I wear it off so much! (the scissors aren't old, just got stuck in the photo for my garden site)
Of course, I have to show you Mister's latest acquisition! Weirdest lamp I've ever seen! A $2 bargain. To me, the bottom looks Deco, while the top looks Eames. Any opinions on this?
That's all for this week!
what a fun post!!..i love vintage tools of all descriptions but I gotta say my fav is that bug spray can with the glass base..GORGEOUS!!
ReplyDeleteSuelovescherries, great post. Love the vintage tools. I have a claw but yours is prettier. Interesting lamp. Learned a few things by doing a search. http://www.collectorsweekly.com/lamps/eames
ReplyDeleteI used to have some like the top green ones. They didn't last very long.
ReplyDeleteWonderful little garden tools... and a great unusual lamp. Happy VTT and have a wonderful, safe weekend.
ReplyDeleteAwesome tools! the old ones are the best.
ReplyDeleteYep, I concur, weird lamp :)
ReplyDeleteThose garden tools look like they have lots of life left in them...so much better than the new ones!
Ooooing and ahhhing over those green handled tools. Love the bug sprayer too.
ReplyDeleteAnother thing that we both like! I have alot of old gardening tools, but I wish I could think of a creative way to display them, because they are just scattered around the potting shed. I really like that lamp, for it's uniqueness!
ReplyDeleteThat's a LAMP? Rub on it; maybe a genie will come out. That or a moth!!!
ReplyDeleteI like those garden tools!
Really nice set of vintage garden tools. I remember my grandma had some shears like yours.
ReplyDeleteInteresting lamp...it almost looks like the top does not go with the bottom. Does it work? It was a great price either way.
I think it would look great maybe painted and put in the corner of a room for additional light.
Have a great VTT and a wonderful Holiday weekend.
what a fun post.. reminding me some tools that my dad used to have in our garden when we were small.. Happy VTT and have a great day!
ReplyDeleteIt IS rather an odd lamp, very retro looking. We used to have those same bug sprayers, boy am I getting old!
ReplyDeleteGreat garden tools! I'm partial to the little hand spades myself :)
ReplyDeleteInteresting lamp!
Great tools! That bug spray can is awesome.
ReplyDeleteI don't think any of my garden tools will survive for my posterity - I always forget to bring them in from the rain! lol.
Yes, that is a weird, but interesting lamp!!! Have a blessed day, cher
ReplyDeleteI love old garden tools! I know nothing about your lamp, but it is cool.
