Wow! Did you see what Suzanne found in the woods? Nothing short of a gold mine! Go over to Vintage Thingies Thursday to find out!
Now, I've been talking the past few days about Mister cleaning out the barn. Here are some more interesting, and vintage, pieces:
First is this nice old suitcase - with instructions on how to use it attached right in! And it has the keys also!
Next is a vanity table (I think) that I'm going to sand down and repaint. Like my dinosaur?
Last is this way-funky lamp made from an old (big!) gun shell, with bullets on the pull chains. Crazy, huh? This should go on Antiques Road Show! (Oh, another eagle!)Now head on over to Suzanne's Coloradolady blog!

Hey, My parents still have that suitcase! My mom won't let my dad use it, though because it's so heavy.
Loved your post..and also that vanity. What great fun to look through your barn..Happy VTT and have a lovely weekend.
I am loving the suitcase! I'd display it with maybe some old books on top.
I just love the packing instructions! So you shouldn't just crumble up clothes and toss them in then?
hehehehe my son would love to make friends with your dino and I think the table looks good after few coats of paint.. and my son asked can the dino travel in your vintage bag? hehehehehe Happy VTT

Great stuff, especially the lamp. I think that would be considered folk art. And I love old suitcases even though they are too heavy to use now.
Can I like...live...in your barn?
WOW! What finds! Too funny that the suitcase comes with instructions. I thought you just crunched and crammed. =)
Can't wait to see that table finished.
Oh, I just ADORE old suitcases!!! I really really do! That lamp is fun!
Well DH would probably want that thing in his den. He is such a gun collector and anything that is connected to it. Nice table.

We never know what will turn up when you take time to clean out garages, etc.
The lamp would be cute in a cabin in the woods. The suitcase packing instructions are a hoot!
Thanks for visiting me!!!
Your husband sure is finding some great Treasures in your barn! I think the lamp probably came from West Virginia! hahaha Not really!!
Happy Vintage Thingie Thursday!!!

That's a big gun shell? Wow. How many people were they trying to nail with that? That is so unique, I love it.
I think that most of all though, I like the dinosaur. Did you play with those when you were little? I always stuck em in the fishtank :)
That lamp has me astounded.
Those are great. You say those are from your barn??
My fave is the suitcase, well i like the table too.
Thanks for coming by.
Nothing really wrong with the painting, just does not match anything any more, and after 31 years a bit tired of looking at it. =0))
Blessings,
Barbara Jean
This is my first visit to your blog! Cool oldie items you have. My hubby likes eagles. I see something in one of your pictures that is a tool of my trade. The FWW other wise known as a front wheel walker. I had to laugh when I saw that. I noticed your Red Wednesday post. Love that idea. I decided I need to follow your blog so I can participate in that. I will try to do that next week! Love your red stuff!! I looked back over some of your posts and your red stuff is making me drool.
