Something I find highly interesting in your "Story of Crisco" booklet is that NOTHING CHANGES...LOL...in 1916 the phrase "high cost of living" was already being used!!! With things costing only pennies back then -- but with correspondingly low wages, too, though...
That is so funny! I think Crisco must have been the beginning of the end (as in large rear ends!). How interesting that it was being advertised as healthy. Thanks for sharing this very interesting booklet. I enjoyed it. laurie
I loved reading this...thanks for sharing! I especially liked at the very end, after all the wonders of Crisco, the statement that it is not Aladdin's Lamp so if you can't cook, it won't really help!
