FALL BOOK SALE AT MY LIBRARY!

Our library, like many, have book sales a few times a year. This morning, Teen and I went to our town's. She picked up a bunch of videos that were 5 for $1. I didn't think the selection as good as the Spring sale this year, but here's what I chose today:

Rudolph - a 1971 edition of the 1958 book. Backyard Trees - 1964. Nurse Nancy - title page torn out, but I had this as a kid in the early 60's. Two Illustrated Classics, and 50 American Heroes - for Pre-Teen. A copy of Read-To-Me Storybook illustrated by Lois Lenski - 1947 - in perfect, like-new condition! An older copy of Square-Foot Gardening, which I've been wanting to read for quite some time.
Last is a very interesting 4-volume soft cover set called The Kids' Kitchen Encyclopedia, A Cooking Program for Children - 1978. Normally, I don't go for stuff from the 70's, but the bright colors caught my eye and I found these worth purchasing. Here are some detail photos, with front and back covers:

I will look through them and see if they're worth using or not. I wanted to scan them, but my very nice HP Photosmart All-in-One was incapacitated recently from a power surge, that we think was the fault of a Verizon work crew. I say that because my bro-in-law, who lives next street over, lost a t.v., computer, and something else from it also.

Of course all good library sales have a bake sale table at the entrance, and ours was no exception! We picked up some brownies, fig squares, and a baggie of "penny" candy. So when we got home Teen made me bake some more brownies, with chocolate bits inside! I had mine with vanilla ice cream!

I usually can't stomach the 70's books, either. But I think you've got a winner there!

I managed to miss our "friends of the library" sale somehow!
