DECORATIONS AND SNOW

First, a little snow shot from our blizzard this morning - can you see the chickadee on the feeder?

This table is (supposed to be) my sewing table but, for now, has a little Christmas display on it. The tree I call my Kitchen Tree because it has Midwest of Cannon Falls utensil ornaments on it, plus it's always been in the kitchen except for this year - pantry. Some close-ups are below.

This child's tea set was from Hearth Song catalogue in 2001. It's made in Germany and depicts characters from a child's story book, but darned if I can remember which one! I just love the little gnomes.

I like to buy these $1.00 wood houses at craft stores and dress them up for the holidays. Here are two of them, and have four more waiting for inspiration! I think the mushroom one needs some snow or something around the base.

I added some glass balls to this pinecone, and a vintage nativity star on top to make it a tree.

I added a few things to the table since the original photo was taken - these bead picks being one of them. Can you believe that I only paid $5.00 (plus shipping) on eBay for them? The seller had them listed as flower something-or-other so, of course, glass bead lovers wouldn't have found out. They're the small ones (4"/10cm), and sooo cute!

These next two "globes" are actually ornaments by Midwest, but are way too large and heavy to put on the tree. A little pricey, too. I think they were around $30 each, but got them half-price on a day-after-Christmas sale a few years ago. They fit perfectly in flower vases, as do the vintage snowman picks!

That's all for today! Come back tomorrow for some more!

Oh what a lovely visit I have had. I was welcomed by snow and then I was treated to decorations! I just love everything. The tea set is absolutely adorable and those houses, you do a wonderful job! I think the pinecone was brilliant I would have never thought of that. I hope your Christmas is filled with love and laughter.
Blessings,
Karrie
