REDNESDAY - WALLPAPER BORDER

Today I will show you something special! My new wallpaper border in my pantry. I've had it for about five years and finally put it up this past week. I love it! It matches everything! Yellow is a happy color by itself, but when combined with red, dots, flowers and a wheelbarrow, it just screams happy, happy, happy!

Have you figured out yet that this isn't "real" wallpaper border? It's vintage shelf liner paper! I just couldn't bear to put it on my shelves where it might get ripped or soiled by little hands - that's why it took so long to put it up. Mister suggested using it on the walls and, now, I couldn't imagine it anywhere else! Here's a close-up of the paper.

Again, if you want to join in today, just follow the instructions above and below.

Sue,
I love your "border". It is so sweet!!! I too have new border to put up in the kitchen--for 2 years now! LOL! It has a red background (of course )with yellow roses and is scalloped. Hopefully , this summer, I will get it done! Happy Rednesday!

The exact same thing stopped me from putting shelf edging on my shelves! I knew it would be a matter of minutes before it was ripped. It looks fantastic, and you sure must have had alot of it. It looks like it was made for you!
Hey, great minds think alike on the cottage blog headers! I like yours, but I'm still looking for a background that will go with mine!
Happy REDnesday!

That is so cute! It looks perfect with the yellow. It's vintage, right? You definitely got lucky with that. I love your solution for keeping it clean. So cute! Mary E. would be proud.

I love this! Your right, it's way to cute to be hidden away in a shelf, and I'm so glad you shared it with us.

Sweet! The border looks perfect, I can't imagine using that as shelf paper, you wouldn't see it as well. You did a great job applying it in the perfect place. I sure do love all your red and the cherries everywhere!
I've linked to you today, and also have my own party going - Wednesday Gratitude. Hope you can join us sometime!

Hi Sue
Sorry I'm so late visiting. I had my second root canal appointment today. It lasted wayyyyy too long : (
When you say your pantry, do you mean your kitchen? Is sure looks pretty. What a smart idea to put it as a border. Did it stick like crazy? Your blog is always so cherry sweet.
Thanks for hosting, I haven't been here in a while.
Love Claudie

Oh, I LOVE that pattern! It makes perfect wallpaper. I don't blame you--sometimes it's so hard to actually use up my vintage treasures, because I always fear not being able to find any more ever again. I think you made a wise choice putting it on your wall and it looks absolutely DARLING!

Thanks for hosting this week! :)
