WHERE WILL I GO?

Do you ever get junk mail for time-share properties? I received one this week that started off rather interesting . . .

I've never been invited to an airport before! Let's see, which one will I go visit?

California has some famously named airports: Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, John Wayne in Santa Ana, and Charles Schultz in Santa Rosa.

Tweed Airport in New Haven, CT?
Nah, might be a bit too stuffy (and besides, I could drive there!) . . . ooh, how about Joplin, MO? That's quite the opposite of Tweed!
Waterloo, IA? No, it would remind me of the real Waterloo (Belgium). I lived in the town next to it (Rhode St. Genese), and it would make me "homesick"!

Okay, I finally decided! Sawyer Airport in Marquette, MI - but only if the real Sawyer (from LOST) is there!

Come to our Midland International Airport. Honestly, it's the best airport in the world. You can park less than 40 feet from the main terminal, in covered parking, for peanuts!!! There's never any lines, either, and the screening process consists of being asked if you love Texas and America and chicken fried steak.

I know, go to Kennedy in NY and I will pick you up. We can have lunch at Tavern on the Green, take a carriage ride through Central Park, shop at Bergdoffs and Tiffanys and check out all the great antique stores downtown and thaen we can take in a show on Broadway. What do you think?

I'd love to go to Sawyer, but I would not get on a plane with the man. He's not got much luck off the ground.
I'd go to the John Wayne Airport in a heartbeat. See, I was born in Santa Ana and have never gotten to go back, so I'd love to go back.
