REDNESDAY - MORE CHERRIES

Well, here we are again! Hey, does anyone besides me have this problem: I save pictures on my computer and forget which file I put them in. I'm always doing that! NOTE: MckLinky has changed its name to just Linky. They ask us to be patient with them if all the bugs aren't worked out yet.

First I'll show one of my vintage kitchen towels. Nice red tulips for Spring-time, along with cherries, a happy bow, and a nice crocheted edge!

And, while we're at it, here are some of my potholders.

As I was going through my photos, I realized that I never showed you my vintage juice reamer (I don't think) - with cherries, of course!

This "coffee pot" is a new addition to the kitchen. Mister and I went to an auction Saturday. He was helping out, so I tagged along. This was in a box of ugly wood items, and I think I would have been willing to pay almost anything for it! But, fortunately, I got it for $4.00! It has a hand-painted date of 1955 on the bottom, with the painter's signature.

Now, show me the RED!

I think that's the prettiest towel I've seen! Is it to use or to look at? I've got a couple towels hanging in my kitchen that are off limits. Look, don't touch!
That coffee pot is a real keeper. The artist obviously knew what he/she was doing!
Happy REDnesday!

Sue, we are kindred spirits! I love all things vintage, red, cherries. My neighbor gave me 3 red, vintage refrigerator dishes this past weekend and I nearly posted a picture of them for Rednesday! Maybe next week.

Love your blog! It's a cheerful place to visit on any day!

Oh my, your blog is so pretty. Today's Thursday but I'd love to join in next Wednesday for Rednesday. I love red too. It's actually my favorite color. You wouldn't know it right now from my blog because for some reason turquoise is catching my eye these days, but red is still my favorite. I am inspired.

Thank you for sharing such beautiful pictures. I'm glad I stopped by.

Okay, I just HAD to comment again. RED SOX NATION? Now I know I'm in the right place. ;) Big fan here. Passed down from my daddy and now I've passed it on to my own children. My 20 year old son is a huge fan. He studied one semester in Massachusetts last year and fell in love with Boston more than before. We toured Fenway and, well, I can go on forever. Beautiful city, best team ever!!!! Sorry Yankee fans. ;) Oh, now I just have to put up a Red Sox button on my page too. :) If that doesn't go with Rednesday what does?

Hi Sue,
I love the wood cherry tea or coffee pot. It is so cute. I also notice you have a RED SOX tag. We are going to have a problem, me being from New York and everything. Yankee fans live here. But, watching the Yanks and Sox play against each other are the best games, don't you think? Thanks also for adding my tag on your blog, I really appreciate it. I have been working a lot this week and have not been able to post as much as I want to. I have a bunch of reds to post.
Love,
Carey

Hi Sue. I just discovered your blog and am having fun looking at all your posts. I have a wooden coffee pot similar to yours and always wondered what its purpose was. I recently learned that it was intended to hold powdered laundry soap!! Interesting!!
