REDNESDAY -

I have been so busy in the yard this past week, doing "bull" work - digging, hauling, laying bricks - haven't had much time for other stuff (except reading)! But it's been happy, satisfying work.

I don't know if you remember when I brought home this shelf about two months ago. As you can see, I finally put it up. I put these tin tray/plates on it, but am not completely satisfied with the look.
I've shown the red tray before. The green one on the left is from Victorian times. It is very heavy and thicker for a tin plate and says Vienna Art Plates, 1905 on the back. The middle plate is a Daher plate (Holland) - nice red floral trim.

I picked up this book Friday night at the library sale - I can't put it down! It's about Whitey Bulger, the mobster, and his Mass. Senate President brother, Billy. I never knew any of the details of their story. It's amazing what goes on around you and you don't even know it - I lived in Boston for a few years during some of this time.

Hi Sue!

Your shelf looks great! I totally can relate to the whole, "okay, I'm not satisfied with this" thing. You are going to end up "re-doing" the shelf a half dozen times and then all of a sudden your going to think...That's it!

Sue,
Having trouble linking up. Sometimes this happens when I go to put the picture for the thumbnail and I get a error message saying there is not picture to edit, then it tells me to start over. Anyway, ladies, I did post for Rednesday, so please stop by and visit. :)

I have to tell you Sue, when I saw that lamp, the first words out of my mouth were ' oh my Sweet Jesus'..lol. My goodness that is just too beautiful. I adore that white shelf also. Just an awesome vignette made. I'm like you, so busy outdoors that the indoors has been a bit neglected.

I totally understand about being caught up in something and not having time for much else.

The Yankee and I are so wrapped up in traveling for our antiques business that we can't seem to get much else done!

But, I did make time to host a wonderful giveaway.

Be sure to visit the cottage and check it out. Click on the button in my sidebar for all the details.

I am happy to be here again this week. I keep trying to get to posting more regularly. But I get busy I guess. I love that shelf. I need to find something similiar that I can use for my angel collection that I now have. Guess I should start browsing our local thrift stores and see if something jumps out at me one of these days.
I drive by two of them regularly. One of the every work day. Should stop sometime, huh?

I hope all is well with you.
