REDNESDAY -

Hey, everyone, let me know which Linky format you like - the list with words (the old way), or the new photo thumbnails. Either is fine with me, but I'll go with the majority.

Some more of my yard sale finds were ~

this red planter box. I found today that I have a square plastic planter that fits perfectly in it!

This assorment of goodies, which I'll show individually below.

I've seen this cherry pie tin decoration in some catalog, but it slips my mind. And a cutie elf who has "real" hair!

A nice cherries tile trivet, and another knee-hugger.

Okay, whose mother didn't have one of these in the 60's? They were all the rage! My mom had one!

This antique child's cutlery tray really surprised me. I found it at an "estate" sale. The house was new and had all newer stuff in it. Then there was this, which stuck out like a sore thumb because it didn't belong with all the other decor. Someone put it there just for me, I think, 'cuz it was only a couple of bucks!

And, finally, I was delighted to find this trivet-type plate. Look at that cute red lacey trim! I think I'll use it under a plant; ooh, I know - I can use one of my glass cheese domes with it for a cloche display! (It's 8-1/2" across (21cm).)

It turned out to be a red weekend!

Oooo, I absolutely love the idea of putting a cloche on top of that lacey plate! All of your finds are great, and a few of those things seem to have had your name written all over them!
Happy REDnesday!

Hi! thanks for commenting on my blog about the grass and being first from Rednesday to see my red photo-- hope you don't get any grass in your patio-- I live in the middle of a field and fight invasive grass roots constantly-- one reason I haven't made any patios yet.

I do remember playing with those add-a-matics. I really like that pie tin and lacy plate. Great haul!

Hi Sue~ I really enjoy the new Linky with the pictures.
Now for you wonderful finds....my, my, my you really scored on that planter box and to have a insert that fits it is icing on the cake!
Also, I love the little elves. My neighbor is a huge collector of them. Of course, I have had to start collecting them too! I have a few with my Christmas decorations.
Thanks for hosting a fun meme.

HI SUE,

I prefer the linky with the pictures. It seems you had a real lucky time rummaging garage and estate sales. Yes, my mom had an add-a-matic. I remember how stressed we were about going over our money. They were no credit or debit cards in those days so you had to be very careful. I remember seeing a lot of folks having to take items out of their baskets. I remember that some supermarkets had these gadgets integrated in the handle of the baskets for convenience. Happy Rednesday!

Hi Sue!
Thank you for the invite to your home and this party!
I DO LOVE red!
I think I will be back each week.
I just prayed for Pfc. Ben.
Please keep us up to date on how he is.
I'm new here, but I like the link format as you have it today :)
So nice to meet you and I will follow you- but I have to use my hubby's PC as mine is acting goofy.
I love your blog, by the way!
Blessings to you as you make your home!

Hi Sue,
Love your reds. I have trouble posting my pictures on this kind of linky sometimes. Would it be possible for you to try to post my picture. I only had the one picture of my bath. Thanks for your help.

I like the elfs because we used to have those in my childhood. I don't remember the automatic thingy! Pretty lacey plate!!

I saw the thing on your sidebar about Ben. I prayed. ...wondering how is is doing and how long ago this happened (don't remember if you said when it happened). My son is in training at Ft. Leonard Wood , Mo. His unit (guard unit) is in Afganistan now. Since he had more training he didn't go and they have moved him to another unit.

Great finds!

The cutlery caddy is an awesome find!

A family friend had the add-a-matic thingy. I remember wanting to play with it when we would go grocery shopping for family campouts. I'd love to have one now! I hate thinking I don't have "much" in the grocery cart only to find out it went over $100 again! :)

I mostly like your plate with the lacey edge! My gooey butter cookies would look even tastier on that plate! Mmmm!

It's been a while since I shared my REDS with you on Red Wednesday. Hoping to get my act together soon!

Hi Sue. I just found your blog and am so happy I did!!! I love you background and all your buttons. It's such a cheery place. I'll be following you and I'm sure checking back every free chance I get. I'm also adding your button to my sidebar so I can share you with my readers and because your button is just too cottonpickincute (terrible plug). No really, I adore your button. Hope you'll stop by and visit.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
