REDNESDAY - YARD SALE & THRIFT STORE STUFF
Man, time flies doesn't it! Welcome to REDnesday once again!
A few thrifted finds ~ I love red plaid, always have. Must have started with the red plaid lunchbox/thermos I had in elementary school! Here I found a handkerchief and a Liz Clairborne mini purse. The cashier at the thrift store was going to charge me 50 cents until she saw the LC name on the inside, then said $1.00. Ah, the price we have to pay for designer labels, LOL!
Here, the book was thrifted, the Bible yard saled (this spelling always makes me think of salad!). I love the colors of the Pooh cover; 1961 edition.
I finally got a Hollyhock to grow from seed! And it's red, hooray! I don't know why, but I haven't been able to grow them from seed for about 10 years now, and I refuse to pay for a potted plant! I have it against the back of the house, south side. Now I just have to do a little "landscaping" around it to make it more presentable!
And, last, is my RED computer chair, with the new RED gingham pillow I got at a yard sale, with my RED mousepad and RED vitamin bottle in the background!
A LAST MINUTE EDIT: I was just over at the Blog O'Cheese where CheeseBoy has a post and video on "a real live celebrity". I had to snap a pic of the guy, Ben Cooper, on his porch ~ look at this cool red chair, I love it!
Time for your delightful reds!

Well Sue, I must say that your computer chair sure does look like a comfy and inviting place to sit and work or play!!
Also, I just can't get over people charging for a Bible...something that I would never, ever do. But, sure am glad that you were able to get it at a yard sale, as they can be pricey.
Thanks for hosting another fun Rednesday.: )
Fondly,
Ann

Oh...those designers! Always trying to get that extra 50 cents out of us! LOL...very cute post.
Congrats, Sue, on the Hollyhock. I'm really loving your Cherry Ferris Wheel this week, too. Thanks again for hosting for us.

Hi Sue,
Oh! I've always loved and wanted Hollyhocks! I don't know why I've never tried them and now you've got me all excited to. Love your purse and I adore Winnie the Pooh, what a great cover that is. I sure wish I had a comfy computer chair like you - I just have a regular chair, with a pillow for my back from the "back store".
Happy Rednesday!
Sally
Enjoyed all the different reds you shared to today. I like them all, but the chair is my favorite. Also, like the Ferris wheel logo. I will use it next time.

Look at you. You always find the red in everything. I hadn't even noticed that cool chair.
That Pooh book looks so old and awesome. That might be the first Pooh book ever printed.
Great reds! I love the red computer chair and pillow!! I adore hollyhocks and have never been able to grow them (let alone from seed!). I will try again next year.

Hey Sue,
I love the little purse. How cute. I love red plaid as well.
And how beautiful is that flower. That is so awesome that it grew. I always stand in amazement when I see what grows from little seeds. Pure Beauty.
And your right, that chair is great. So cool.
One more thing. I love the Ferris Wheel Rednesday tag. How adorable is that.
Have A wonderfully REDnesday.

Sue,
Could you link me up, please. Thanks so much. Love that plaid!!!
I do love your chair and gingham cushion! The book is darling too! I probably shouldn't mention....I grew Hollyhocks from seed this year....with my first try. I only did 4 because I wasn't sure where I would put them. So far two have bloomed, a peach single and a pink double. Your red one is GORGEOUS!
I enjoyed your Red Wednesday post. This is my first visit to this linky party. I will have to check it out more.
LOVE that chair!!! I want one in red, too. ;)
Hi Sue, Sorry I'm joining so late, but computer trouble.

Hi Sue!
This is my first time participating in your REDnesday party, but I've seen lots of others posting their items & wanted to join in the fun.
My tablescape this week is especially appropriate since I made the cherry laden linens myself.
Thanks for hosting this fun meme! I'm off to visit the others now.
fondly,
Rett
