REDNESDAY

Happy Rednesday everyone! The above photo is of my cat, Smokey, and Teen's stuffed bunny. It was just begging for a caption! Here's another one (these are not staged photos!). It appears the bunny whacked the doll for the crown, and now the geisha looks like she's gonna whack the bunny!

I love this photo! It was taken by a dear friend from Africam. He lives on Lake Michigan.

Jade, the little girl I watch, showed up this morning with her ruby slippers. She is so proud of them! She insists she's not a "girly girl", but loves sparkles, lace, frills, jewelry - she's so fashionable for a first grader! That's Teen's red school bag to the left.

It's that time of year - I'm browsing the seed catalogs, which takes my mind off the 2-1/2 feet (76cm) of snow we have, with another foot on the way tomorrow night.

So, I'll leave you with this photo of my red dahlia from last fall. Hope springs eternal; or, in my case, Spring is hoped for eternally!

Oh my gracious! We are so with you about longing for spring. Plus my senior mom and I are also busily perusing the gardening magazines as she plans out a garden full of goodies to entice birds and butterflies with flowers and her raised beds vegetable garden, along with the Sunflower House we hope to do again for the grandchildren. We only have a couple of inches of snow left now, though, but also have more on the way. So I'll lift my can of Diet Pepsi to you in a toast for SPRING to be SPRUNG soon! :) Have a blessed and beautiful Rednesday!

We have had a weekly snow storm since the day after Christmas! Most of it is now piles of dirty ice ..snow is never attractive in the city. More is expected tomorrow....sigh! I am also dreaming about Spring!

I am feeling very special right now. I rarely have red in my home, this time I do and they're cherries and beets, AND I'm your first entry!! Yayyy!!
Seeing your blog always make me wish I did use red. Some day...

The little girls school bag and ensemble reminds me when my oldest girl was 5, 21 years ago. She chose a pink bag.

What a rough winter you're having there, Sue! But there's nothing like doing a little dreaming while looking through the seed catalogs. Doesn't that mean that Spring is just around the corner?
Great candid shots, especially the one of Smokey. He looks like he's contemplating ripping that bunny apart!
Happy REDnesday!

I'm back for my second go at Rednesday. Love your photo's and the caption with your kitty...it's perrrfect;) Our snow is gone for the time being but this time last year we got hit with about 6" of the white stuff. Friday is to be 63 so hopefully that will be it for us. Probably wishful thinking on my part but I'm holding out hope. Have a wonderful Rednesday!
