NEED GLUE SUGGESTIONS

Thanks for your suggestions, ladies! I've always used either the glue gun or fabri-tac, but they're either too bumpy or the glue shows through. (I'm such a perfectionist here!) Astrid suggested that I use the ATG without the holder, so I think I'll try that.

I would like to know what you use to glue ribbon onto paper/cardstock/chipboard.

I've heard that Scotch ATG is awesome, but I'm a lefty and the ATG is built for righties.

I love fabri-tac glue.. its for fabric but it is so awesome, I use it for everything... expensive though. about 8 bucks for a little bottle. you can get it at joanns, micheals and I think even walmart carries it.

I use my hot glue gun for almost everything! That's how I put trims like ribbon and tinsel edging onto things. It works great on heavy papers, and best of all there is no waiting for it to dry! For large, flat surfaces I just use a jumbo glue stick.

Mostly I use hot glue, and glue sticks, the best ones are from Staples. I buy them in the 18 pack size and lay it on thick.

I'm impatient. I don't like waiting for glue to dry. I use Sticky Strip or Scor-Pal tape. I prefer Scor-Pal because you can tear it with your fingers, but I have to order it online. Sticky Strip is in the scrapbooking section of Michael's. I buy the 1/4" because it's the most versatile. It is has a lot of grab. If you want to check out a card I made using it....

The other big plus. It works great for holding glitter. Like with this card...

Just add the tape and sprinkle on the glitter!

Hope this helps!

It depends on the thickness of things but I generally use tacky glue for just about everything! I use a bit of hot glue but not much. I don't like to "hurry" and I don't like getting burned!! ♥

I use my hot glue gun, but not very well. When I can I like to use Duco contact cement, it's great.

I was a picture framer for 5 years and we used ATG for everything (dust backs, shadow boxes etc.) I'm a lefty too but I didn't use it with a dispenser...I would just use the roll and stick it where I needed it! Fabri-tac also works wonders!
