REDNESDAY

I LOVE Valentine's Day! For the graphics, mind you, not for the love or the flowers or the candy (but candy is good!). Vintage Valentine cards do have the best graphics, colors, and subjects.

I think I have more Valentine graphics saved on my flash drive than any other holiday.

I mean, Christmas graphics are a blast, but the subject matter in a way is limited. (Santa, snow, Christmas trees, etc.)

Valentine cards can use any picture - just slap on a heart and you're good to go!

And some of the clever/wacky sayings that those card creators came up with!

When I'm crafting, it's sooo hard to decide which picture to use for each craft. Isn't it great?

The little girl at the top writing on the wall is so cute! I saved that same pic...it reminds me of my granddaughter Alena writing on her mother's walls. Of course she is just "expressing her creativity" according to her too lenient mother. lol!

I love valentines too! And they almost always have red! I've been placing scanned copies of my own collected valentines on my blog. So, if you get a chance to stop by, feel free to snag them for your collection.

I love all the old valentines that have the wacky sayings on them. I remember as girl trying to decide who would get what card. I also love the vintage sweetheart valentines! Thanks for hosting Rednesday!

These are all very sweet. I love the vintage illustrations and sentiments best. The ones they make now are not as fun.

I, too, love older Valentines. Especially the cute ones with fun plays on words like the Needle and Sew Valentine. My grandchildren and I LOVE those kinds of funny word plays. Thanks for another lovely Rednesday.

I have always loved valentine cards, remember the days when we decorated a shoe box and took it to school for friends to put cards in it for us?
