Oooh, the strawberries are still coming! Yum, yum!
Yes, my trash is my treasure. Why? Because I have two trash barrels, or waste baskets, that are vintage treasures to me!
The first is a tall one that I use for recycled items. Tin, of course. It stands 21 inches/53.5 cm tall.
This one is shorter - 15 inches/38 cm. It's a nice vintage floral made by Colorware.
And, I've been lucky enough to find a matching canister!
Anyone else have red to share today? I'd love to see it!

Why Sue, you trashy girl...LOL...gosh, I love those trashcans! And to find the matching canister too...WOW...love it! Now I recall that we had actual metal transCANS, I can even remember the sound they'd make when I'd empty them into the big trashcan outside, in the days before plastic bags and plastic containers. Our indoor trashcans were PRETTY, kind of like flattened ovals, with flowers on them, too!
Thank you for hosting such a fun event!!
Blessings,
Barbara Jean
Oh My Gosh Sue, I can't wait to start checking out your links. I love cherries too. I love the trash cans. What a wonderful find. I will be back for sure. Please stop by my BLOG at Country Wings in Phoenix. Have a wonderful red day. "Country Hugs", Sherry
Cool Red items!! I am going to do a REDnesday post on my craft blog too. But I need to wait until after work. Gotta go now. Be back later with the other RED post.
Hi Sue,

Always great Redness over here!
You have the best "Trash"!
I happened across your blog today and am so happy I did. Red! What better color? Okay, I like most of them, but I keep coming back to red. I shared my red doors with you.
I love both of those wastebaskets! When we moved in to our house, the previous owners left 3 really pretty ones behind. It's great how you found that canister too!
Now I finally have the RED post from my craft blog up. Yay! Thanks for visiting my main one today!
OHHHH I love the waste basket, it would go so beautifully in my daughter's room -- where did you find yours?
Lovely Finds! How awesome is that?
I don't think I have a lot of RED, but I shall look for next week.
I remember the old metal cans also and the Big One in the backyard, we burned our trash in before anyone knew the planet was in danger.
Smiles, Cyndi
