REDNESDAY - VALENTINES + RED RADIO!

I'm going to show the rest of my Valentines along with a cool radio that Mister got free (along with some glass bottles) on the side of the road this week. (He has the best luck with freebies!)

This is a German Steinbach ornament that I picked up at a Christmas fair in Belgium in 1985.
Here's my radio - a nice retro red! Despite the corroded batteries in it, it still worked. Of course, they came out. It stands 9" (23cm) tall. I can just picture this at the beach in one of those bikini movies!
Teen wanted to go to the thrift shop after school, and I picked up this little hand bell (minus the clapper) - it appears to be a Bakelite handle. This cutie is 4" (10cm) tall.

Have a great week, and show me all your ravishing reds!

I like that rose wreath Sue, and that tin, but I'm crazy about the little red radio! It's definitely Beach Blanket Bingo-ish!
Happy REDnesday!

Hi Sue!

Your wreath is so pretty! But Mr. Red rocked this week with that awesome red radio! And I agree, I could see it on the set of "Beach Blanket Bingo"! LOL

Mmmm...I've loving that tin. I've been wanting a simple radio for my son but you can't find any new electronics that are simple. Nothing is just a radio now. I'll have to keep my eyes on the side of the road and see if I can get as lucky!

I noticed my button on your sidebar today, thanks so much!

Dawn

I am back again finally. I love your reds. I have a couple of old bells too. But they don't have RED handles like yours. I hope you enjoy my tour of RED stops. I hope to be participating more often again. In the meantime, have a great day.

The rose wreath is very pretty, and the box is also, but the radio sure looks like something from Beach Bunny days.
Hope you have a great day.

In spite of the fact that Rednesday -- and I love that radio your hubby found -- my favorite thing is your green candy jar with the little ornament hanging from it.

Oh loved seeing all the red goodies today. You are SO right. I can see that radio in one of those Beach Party movies with Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello...(think that's how you spell those names) Thanks for the photos and fun.

I'm glad you left a comment, Sue. It made me realize in my haste I forgot to leave a comment for you!

That radio is a SUPER great find! So glad it works for you!

I also like the previous post with your coffee maker. The ruby creamer is beautiful!

Thanks for the great Rednesday!

Way to go for the hubby! Mine just doesn't understand about those "treasures" on the side of the road. sigh. Oh well...he has other redeeming qualities and he tolerates all my stuff. Lol! Yes, your radio is quite Beach Blanket Bingo!
