YARD SALES AND ANOTHER MAKE-OVER

Teen and I went to the first two yard sales of the season this morning. They weren't very good, mostly baby/kid stuff, but we managed to pick a few items.

Two plastic trays - a long fruit design, and a square "Make Your Garden Beautiful" one.

Teen chose these: a gorgeous $30 thick leather journal (sticker still in it) for $2, a hand-made bunny (she's a bunny collector), and a gray we-don't-know-what - maybe a squirrel.

A cute shelf with a scalloped trim and plate groove. (Now to find a place to put it!)

This box that I thrifted last year - a toy container originally - needed a little help. I've kept all sorts of odds and ends in it. So, like my paint brush jar, I whipped out some ribbon and buttons and, voila, an instant make-over!

Have a blessed Easter!

Happy Saturday yard sale!!! Micki and I went again this morning. I will post all my goodies later tonight. Yard saling is such a stress reducer. Best drug you can get for a quarter!
