REDNESDAY

Hello and welcome! Young Teen wasn't happy about starting home school today. Oh, well!

Look at this gorgeous lighthouse photo - Kenosha, Wisconsin. I "borrowed" this photo from a friend on Africam who does photography.

My Hibiscus finally bloomed! I love their large flowers! (Black raspberry bush behind it.)

This red flower is a Potentilla 'Gibson's Scarlet' along wth Tall Phlox 'David'.

That's all for me this week, how about you?

Oh, both of the red flowers are so beautiful and vibrant! I love lighthouses. We have a couple within view from Lake Erie (where we live).

Good luck with Y.T. and homeschooling!

Have a great evening!

Hi Sue,
I have a red hibiscus, too. Your flower seems to be a bit more scarlet, which is so pretty! I haven't had a bloom in a couple of weeks. Enjoy yours!!

Sue,
Your reds are beautiful this week. It's still summer in your garden I see. Thanks so much for hosting Rednesday for us all.

Love the Lighthouse-- makes me want to write a picture book about a little red lighthouse.

The hibiscus is gorgeous! Did you know hibiscus is related to okra? That is why their flowers resemble.

Hi Sue! Thank you for the lovely pic of the lighthouse in Kenosha. I was born and raised on the north shore of Chicago and have been to that pretty lighthouse in Kenosha, Wisconsin many times. It brought back lots of fond memories!!

I wish I had such a green thumb. You always have flowers! That lighthouse is sure striking against the blue! So how do you return a "borrowed" digital photo? LOL!

Love your red hibiscus! I once had one that was a beautiful coral color. Spectacular blooms!

I have a red hibiscus from my aunt, it is very old and always blooms later in the year. I have a smaller white one that blooms earlier. I love the red potentilla, I have never seen one!

Hi Sue,
I love your reds today! Your flowers are lovely, thank you so much for adding the names (says the gal with the middle aged brain freeze!). I adore the Potentilla, so darling. & you big lucky, a raspberry bush! I'm so envious. Are they difficult to grow?

Happy Rednesday to you!
Sally

Love the Red Hibiscus! I have one very similar but the deer keep eating it! I tried to add my blog to your REDnesday list but I guess I'm too late! I'll try and be ready next week! :)
