A RANT, AND LETTERS N + O

I need to vent, so you guys get to listen! I was on eBay this morning, just browsing through Christmasy stuff. One thing I decided to look at was vintage plastic Christmas ornaments. I was appalled at the prices many sellers are asking for items that (1) aren't all that old, and (2) are plentiful, not rare. Even some of the 50's and 60's ornaments were way over-priced! How do these sellers expect to make any money with these outrageous prices! (If you're one of these sellers - please lower your prices!) It's ridiculous and I'm mad! 'nuff said.

Now, here are letters N and O. :)

Sue, I'm so upset with Ebay sellers lately! What happened to offering Parcel Post shipping? I refuse to pay $11 for shipping for a little figurine! When I was a seller, I always offered the cheapest shipping along with Priority. I gave them a choice. I feel like they're trying to make extra money off of me by charging more for shipping. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any of those figurines in the antique shops, so either I pay the crazy shipping, or I do without. Guess I won't be adding another Christmas angel to my collection this year. Thanks for letting me rant!

I hear you! We've had a problem lately at our local Goodwill. They are wanting to sell things at antique shop prices but have no real knowledge of what they are dealing with. I just pass on a lot these days. A recent example was a set of Fire King Lusterware dishes. They had everything priced individually instead of priced as a set. Added up they came to over a hundred dollars for 4 settings. Not in my range and not in pristine condition either. Grrr!! Hey, ranting makes one feel a bit better, lol!

CHRISTmas Blessings!

Just stopping by to wish you a Merry Christmas in case I don't get to do so closer to the actual date. Many blessings to you and your loved ones.

Perhaps eBay need to price check their things and boot the scammers off?

Hello, hello, hello!! I'm new here (and fairly new to this blogging world) and LOVING it!! Sooo fun! I absolutely LOVE your blog: I LOVE red and cherries and old stuff too!!
Yah, some people really want to get all they can for stuff. We have an antique store in town that is WONDERFUL with their prices. Needless to say, they are always busy! I LOVE going there!
Merry Christmas and I hope to join a Rednesday soon!!! :)

I need to figure out how to make some money on my blog, like with advertising and stuff. I'm a young mom, well, I consider myself young, of 3 and this stuff is a little overwhelming.
Anyhow, hopefully after Christmas I can figure something out, or if I even can.
