REDNESDAY

Happy Spring, everyone! And, it's almost Easter, too! I see some of you who joined my Easter Swap have received packages already. I got mine yesterday, from Carly of Swt Vintage Love. Here's what I got:

Two adorable hoppy critters (I've always loved these things!), some yummy Jr. Mints, and a wad of vintage red lace to make some fun stuff with. I know you're probably thinking, "Huh, that ain't much". Well, look down at the next photo . . .

Isn't this an awesome bag?? Carly made it! Just look at that vintage fabric, and those gorgeous roses!!! (Maybe I'll plant it in my garden, lol!) I do love tote bags and am so happy to add this to my collection! Thanks so much, Carly! :)

Now, speaking of Easter, here are a few miniatures in my shadow box.

I made a banner this year from vintage Easter cross images. A few close-ups follow.

I went to an estate sale on Saturday. I picked up some Christmas novels to read in December.

I grabbed this bag of ribbon and lace, as you know I have a thing for this kind of stuff! I also found three small vintage square tablecloths, two doilies, and five vintage aprons - all for 25 cents each! I'll only keep one and sell the rest. After they're washed and pressed I'll show them to you.

Here's another batch of lace that I picked up at the thrift store recently.

And, finally, I show you my recent eBay purchase - Pyrex cherry bowls!! Yahoo! I never knew Pyrex made cherry bowls, but I have some now!

Hello, Sue...found your blog through Cottage and Creek. I love all your vintage items and images. They bring back such wonderful memories of growing up.

I couldn't help but notice that you were collecting Christmas novels to read. If I may be so bold, my book, The Christmas Pin Society, is not vintage, but it's a wonderful novella. I offer it as a 'hard copy' book at my site and also on Amazon kindle, or as an ebook on Amazon. If you drop by my site you can read a little more about it.

I also like your Rednesday...and hope to one day soon join in the fun.

Blessings,
Marianne
